10 brass shotshells 1867 - 1970

These are 10 shotgun brass that I have found while water detecting this past month. They were all in the same area that I have been finding rings,etc. I think they are pretty cool because the one in the upper left of the photo dates from 1867. There are also 2 from 1884 and one from 1897. Great history!
 
Wow that really interesting. Where do you find the info to date them?

Those are pretty cool,must have been from some duck hunters.
 
I like finding them to , but the hunter around hear did not loos much,
 
Cool. I keep the bases also. I have found the all brass bodied Winchesters and a few 4 gauge market gun cases. Those suckers have the diameter of a fifty cent piece at least, just huge. Market gunners way back in the days before limits would bring these cannons out and mow down a wad of birds in one pop.
 
wow.. rather have them than modern coins anyday.. fantastic.
 
Here ya go bud. I found an old pic. Twenty gauge, 12 gauge, then the four, all found with the Tejon. Case and slugs on top are Brit. .57 Snider. I like your cases, a real nice mix of oldies. :thumbup:
