10.5 DD

Wanted to know if the 10.5 DD is deeper than the stock coil, and does it pinpoint the same. Thanks for your help.

In my opinion, yes it does add some depth. First by being an inch and a half larger and the design itself pared with the XT series running with no discrimination.

In my experiences with the 7.5 DD coil;
it does have a little more depth, maybe
an inch or so... And to answer your other
question; no it doesn't pinpoint the same
as the stock 9" concentric.. But in my opinion
it pinpoints better; but I like a DD coil...
Just a little practice is all it takes; I have a habit
of hitting the all metal and pulling the coil
towards me until the signal disappears; the target is
always under the front portion of the coil... Once I put
the 10.5" DD coil on mine; the 9" concentric never went
back on....

Another bonus; it separates better than the
stock 9" coil also; if they made a DD coil for
the X-Terra like the 7.25" DD on the Advantage,
I would sell every detector that I have and only
use the X-Terra... But until then; I'll keep swinging
my (Heavier) Sov XS2a Pro with the 7.25" coil and DTI II meter...

Good luck, Jeff
