10.5 coil question

It will be MUCH heavier that's for darn sure. But it's usually considered by most users to add a couple inches of depth. So I guess you'd have to weigh is 2 more inches worth the $ & added weight?
HH.
Bill

It's definitely much heavier. If the 1236x2 can be hip/chest mounted it would be worth picking up IMHO. I have that coil on my C$ and aside from the hefty weight, I think it's a good coil Add it to a C$ that has a Sunray probe and your arm will look like Popeye's after a few outings

Thanks Bill & Call,

I am happy right now with the performance of the 8 incher. Just wondered If it was worth to take a closer look again at the 10.5 inch. However..... I can pick up a 12 inch DD detech coil, but nobody seems to have experience with that coil.

Eric.

I have a DD Excellerator that size for the X-series units & I think it's very good.....

Bill

Bill,

so you use that excellerator dd for the x series????? Can you tell me if its still sensitive to small coins? Is it stable?

thanks, Eric.
