Went to the Fair Grounds to Day found 9 Quarters, 4 dimes 1 nickel 7 copper pennys, And 7 zinc pennys , one beat up do dad , looks like a lawn mower got it
1 game token,, An a large brass buckel looks like it may came from a horse sadle or bridal , any way found it near the horse track,,all coins came from parking lot or the rode around the park area
 
nice haul for a days work! fairgrounds is one of the first places i plan on visiting. i figure its flat and a good place for a beginner to learn.
 
Back out again to day same place,,found my first gold dollar, wish it were real gold also found 6 quarters2 nickels 5 dimes 6 copper penny's an 3 zinc pennies,
all so a boy scout neck scarf clip I'm gonig back tomorrow.
The $1 dollar coin was at 8 in. in a sand pit, was about to give up on it, thinking it was a soda can but the pin pointer picked it up so i kept digging :yikes:
don't see many of those, its a 2000 with the Indian lady on it
