Well, according to the receipt for my MXT, it was exactly 1 year ago today that I purchased my White's (although I didn't join this Forum until May 30).
*Flashback to last year*....... It had been raining almost non-stop here in the Bay Area for weeks and weeks....... remember all that rain?? Work had been extremely slow (read non-existent), and I had been spending way too much time at home, alone and bored, and drinking way too much beer. This was not good for me physically and emotionally. I needed something to do..... something to get me out of the house. So I decided I needed a new hobby, and the rest is history.
It's been a great year! It's also been nice to read about other members adventures and finds, and it's fun to have a place to share thoughts, ideas, and finds of my own.
Thanks for a great year!! It's been a dandy, and I'm truly looking forward to another great year of getting off my duff and finding stuff!!
Cheers!!!
Rick
BTW, here's a few of my "notable" finds from this year......
First, the clad......
Modern silver and a few rings, etc........
Post-Civil War-Victorian stuff (Oh Oh, some buttons.........)
Pre-Civil War American Stuff........ (Jeez...... more buttons!)
And, finally, the Mission Period notables....... (even More buttons) and some Reales to boot!!!
Thanks for tuning in...............
