1 weeks worth.......

This is what I dug last week and 3 hot wheels cars not pictured. Had 2 good days and 3 bad ones like today (only found 1 new dime after 1.5 hrs.....lol). Highlights were the rosie and the 1919 Canadian silver 5 cent peice......
Did 2 older homes last week, 1 was 110 years, the other 104 years. I'm running into lots of fill, redone foundations, dirt being hauled off, etc. from most these older homes? I'm "almost" to the point of getting more excited about a 40's or 50's home to hunt as I seem to get more silver from these than the older homes in my town? My town is on a hill and there's plenty of evidence that lots of dirt work has been done on the older homes over the years where the newer homes did theirs before they built? Around here it doesn't take much digging to see the "new" dirt as the original dirt is full of rock around here. Just an observation.....

thats great finds, I think the 50,s had more prosperity, that must be nice finding all that silver , amazing

Nice going. In the fifty's kids played outside a lot and had a little money to spend. Lots of silver coins were dropped in the grassy area between the curb and sidewalk when the kids were getting out their money for an Popsicle or ice cream bar from the ice cream truck.

I think you are doing a good job. You said that your town is on a hill. Well why don't you hunt the bottom of the hill? Coins are round. They might roll down to the bottom.... Just joking.... KEN

thanks guys... The coins are comming but it sure has been a slow grind when it comes to the silver? We'll just keep on grinding if that's what it takes........
