1 Silver Dime and my Detecting Buddy!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
I detected a soccer field today and got a ring (hoping it was white gold looking at it in the hole but turned out to be a junker)! and got the silver dime which was a surprise because it's getting harder and harder to find any silver coins anymore! I did get several nickels and micellaneous low tone targets looking for gold rings and the usual clad quarters hoping for silver rings!

May I introduce Aaron (5 y/o) One of my sweet grandchildren! Unfortunately, my wife and I only see him (and 5 of our other 7 grandchildren) once or maybe twice a year because the 5 live out of State. He posed for me about a year ago and is fascinated with metal detecting so I'll be taking him out when we visit next.!! Happy hunting!

sure looks like Aaron is ready to hunt. good luck.

Enjoy that young Man. I get to see my grands a couple of times a year. Too many miles.

Thanks for the kind comments!! We get a great deal of joy from our families and in our family, family and faith (they are interconnected in our family) comes first and everything else comes afterwards including detecting!! Just like everyone else, we get to have challenges.....physical and mental and so for me, metal detecting gives me a huge sense of relaxation and peace of mind. It give's me a recharge to face the world again!
The weather has cooled off here which is a big relief after the scorching heat of summer and I can't wait to get out next week and do some more detecting! G.L. & H.H.

Is that an Explorer with an ultimate coil that he is pushing? The first time I took my grandson hunting he found a 1909s Indian. It has definitely inspired him. Tell that fellow that alot of us wish him alot of luck and good hunting.

Thanks Grunter! I will tell him! It's a Safari with the stock 11 inch coil. It has found me a lot of gold and silver!

That young looks ready to go goldy and with a teacher like yourself no gold in the ground stands a chance lol... grandkids are great ,well at least so far...

Thanks B.H.P.!.....grandkid's truly are great!
