Went out Huntin Saturday, had my hopes up with the Minus tides.
I havn't been detectin for two weeks, thought I was about to die of gold fever.
Noticed the beach had changed quite a bit, the big hump in the middle of the beach was almost gone.

Got to the beach and it was freezing cold, the wind was blowing about 30 mph...glad I brought the gloves along!!
I detected near the waters edge for quite a while and didn't get many hits.
So I went up high on the beach where alot of sand had gotten moved out, I immediately started getting coins.
So, I say where there's coins there's gold

Pretty soon I get a nice low sound, and this is what I dig up. I just about croaked.
When I got it home it tested bad! Stupid CZ's there ought to be a law against them.
Anyway it's 10k gold

After cleaning out this area with the coins I decided to pull up stakes and try a different beach.
I immediately started gridding this one, and after digging about 40 targets I start thinking...it's about time for some gold to show up.
And about two hits later I dig up this 10k masonic ring.

Not a bad day in all, wanted to stay longer but the wife called and said come home....what's a guy to do??

Oh yea, the toe tag...what the heck am I suppose to do with that? Gag a maggot!
It says "The Crematorium at PCS 13194"
I looked it up on the internet - quicky job only $695.00

I told Huntress, when she pours me ashes in the surf, to dig out the toe tag or have the crematorium do it for her. I don't want anyone finding my tag, savvy?

Must be something weird going on with Crematory tags. I forgot to mention it in an earlier post about my finds on Sat but I found one of these too. It's from the Phoenix Crematory in Hampton, NH. Has a number on it. I must be getting crazy in my old age but I thought about trying to contact them and see if I can determine who it belonged to. But what the heck is it doing on a Charleston, SC area beach?? Anyway, nice finds you have there and too bad about the CZ. I agree, they ought to outlaw those things (Moissanite, too). Another thing I'm finding, like you did, is that hunting down in the cuts doesn't seem to produce for me but if I go up a little ways above the cut then I start to get hits. I'm thinking maybe the sand from the cut gets deposited up there and so that's where the finds are. Just a hunch but maybe it's true.

NIce finds other than the nasty toe tag. Love the masonic ring I have been a mason since the early 90's.
