$1 coin ID

Found not one but two of these $1 coins that I can not identify. Both have just "$1" on the front side and on the back side it looks like a eagle with a snake in its mouth. The coins are smaller than a penny and golden in color. One is dated 2005 and the other is dated 2006. The only other writing on the coins that I can see is a letter "M" over the letter "o" on the front to the far left. Can anyone identify them?

Thanks for the ID ing. Missing the outer ring. My ignorance thinking that it would say Peso on the coin and that the dollar symbol does not just mean dollar.
