Getting cold here so my season is over and I pulled the batts from the E. I was wondering if by pulling the batt if I will loose my saved modes and programs after any amount of time without a battery in the machine...???? Thanks!

No..It retains the modes for something like 10 years....

I can keep my machine warm. I use wool scraf around etrac's back. 4 hours at 35 to 40 degrees is no problem. Problem at below zero or 32 degrees or colder is frozen ground. I don't like digging frozen down to get coin at 6 to 8 inch deep! Too hard!

You mean you guys don't know about the "Defrost" button on your E-Trac. Pinpoint target, place coil, on the ground, over exact location of target. Press "Defrost" button. Bottom right button.

Works like a charm. 6-8" frozen soil takes like 3 hits though.

NebTrac

Warning! Don't get your shoes too close, the soles can't take the heat.

I just noticed that Neb, right next to the on/off switch for iron falsing. I detected for two years with that switch on! :detecting:

Thanks Elton...that's what I needed to know!!!! I don't want to lose any patterns, etc.

Shouldn't loose them, but back them up on the computer. Use the exchange software and you will always have them. You never know when you may have to reset to factory defualts.
