....I was talking to my wife tonite about the camping/detecting trip Im leavin on tomorrow(It was HER IDEA-what a peach!!!)-Anyway,I was telling her how after all these years,Im STILL the ONLY ONE allowed to detect where Im going.Story goes that when my in-laws lived within 1-1/2 miles of this club,one day I was out driving around;when I spotted the owner of this beach club broken down by the side of the road in his truck.I stopped and tolf him I will take him wherever he wanted to go;and you woulda thought I was giving him gold,when he recognized me.He told me after I got him home"I TELL YA WHAT,STEVE-you did this for me,now this is what I will do for you:YOU ALONE will have sole rights to metal detect here at any time-PROVIDED you abide by my 3 rules:NO OTHER PERSON is allowed in here with you to detect-(His version of a 0% tolerance)-ANYBODY ELSE with you has a detector,you're history.#2:LEAVE NO EMPTY HOLES(Sound familiar??Treasure Hunter's code of Ethics???)#3:You can only come before Memorial Day,or after Labor Day-Rest of the time is our open season(They open Sat.the 29th)...................SO:3 SIMPLE RULES TO DETECT BY,and an open door to detect a 100+acre,3 beaches,and had been use since the 1800's beach club-All because of ONE act of kindness..............BY THE WAY:I HAVE my waders,and Im DEFINITELY gonna get in the oldest pond where the beach is grown over with cat-tails- EVEN IF the water snakes ARE doin the back-stroke across it.....
