I need to change my name to "cladmaster" I think. Got out for a little while today, but spent more time scouting than actually detecting. Not great finds, but at least the weather is good here, and it was nice to get out. This is for all of you guys waiting for spring! I found one wheatie, (1956d), a quarter, a neat little brass button, 5 clad dimes, and 36 pennies. Today was the first day using the propointer, and at first, I didn't like it at all. It made my ace350 go nuts when it was within 6 feet of the coil, and it seemed too sensitive. (I was used to a bounty hunter pinpointer). After using it for a few minutes, the ace stopped chirping unless the pro was actually within a couple feet of the coil, and I started figuring out how the propointer works. I won't be going detecting again without it. I'd say it cuts locating time in half, if not more.
Happy hunting, guys! Hope everyone has a chance to get out and start swinging soon!

Its amazing about the propointer, or personal pinpointers in general. I hunted without one for almost 3 months , and now I will not hunt without it. I can allmost compare the propointer with my cell phone , If I leave home without it , I am a spoiled puppy and start whining . My pinpointing has improved with my detector, but I do rely on the propointer to reduce my recovery time so much...Cant beat it ..........Nice little hunt Cladmaster

Absolutely right about the pointer. At least 1/2 time cut off especially when in the chips. Nice clad count also. HH EZ

Yesterday. I went to a park close to the house. My battery was dying in my propointer. After 30 minutes. I had to leave. I cant hunt without it.
