I have owned my excal. around 7 years now... I have hunted on average twice a month. each time out i try to hunt till i hit something gold. sometimes over 8 hrs.an outing sometimes i find a few items,,, some times not.. i am curently zero for four times out. so i am due for a big pay day.....:). hopefully next weekend.... I do somewhat believe in luck but more so I belive its a numbers game. it seems to average out..... i hunt mostly the northern end of the atlantic coast. georga to daytona. My excal. is the most stable and deepest MTD i have owned. and the only one i currently own. i am considering the etrac. I have been through a few scoops as well.....the ones i bought gave up after a while either bent or broke. so I have fabricated my own. made from .090 thick 301 hard stainless steel. it is a tank. i made it so the handle can be adjusted for any confortable angle. the basket is only two pieces. all is TIG welded. it will not corrode!! i may tool up and make a few for sale if i see enough interest in it.... here is a picture along side a 12 in. ruler to show scale. it weighs a little over 5 lbs.this one currently has a short (4 foot) steel handle on it.

HAPPY HUNTING !!!!

TIME to cash in that gold while the price is high. Shop around to see who has the best deal. Sometimes the pawn shops/gold sellers will give you the best deal for it but I wouldnt ship it by mail, as it could get lost or stolen and that is alot of gold!!! BIG BUCKS. WTG
