I hit a few spots where old residences were at one time, in corn fields. Unfortunately I am pretty sure all the spots had been hunted hard before. The first spot only gave up these modified large cents (no date and 1830). Even the non-ferrous junk was missing. Both of the LC's really sounded great after tons of swinging. The next place had a little more non-ferrous junk but I only found a wheat cent. I decided to hunt the spot where the old farm house was removed within the last couple years - figured I would at least find some clad. I did find quite a bit of modern junk, one wheat back, 2/3's of a disintegrating stinkin' Lincoln, and an aluminum token - Good For 2-1/2 cents in oil at Dad's Place (between Paw Paw and Kalamazoo, MI). By then I was getting tired. It is hard work detecting corn stubble.
It was fun to get out.
