08/20 yard hunting

We heading south today to a new-to-us town. It was our plan B for the day. My buddy Greg wanted to venture into Digger's home turf but I brought him up to speed and he decided against it. I convinced him that Randy and his brother Bill are a very respectable force to be reckoned with so we drove a little further.;) It reminded me why I love small town midwest so much. The locals are very hospitable and really do seem to show interest in us our hobby. There were plenty of retired folks home today to gain permission though someone still felt the need to call the Sheriff's department just to check us out anyway. This really doesn't bother me anymore and I usually have some pretty interesting talks when the police show up. Never any problems though. We managed a few keepers and met some really interesting characters. Here is a group shot of the dirty finds on a dirty bumper, my finds cleaned up and Greg's ring and dimes cleaned up. Thanks, JJ

Great saves JJ ... nice photos too !

Thanks fellas. I was hoping with enough imagination that I could make a D or S mintmark appear on the 32' Washington. Didn't help. No complaints though. JJ
