05/25 Yard hunting

My multi silver streak died today, completely! I couldn't conjure up the shiny gray metal for the life of me but still found Tonto and Squanto. I experienced allot of falsing and had allot of trouble keeping a threshold. EMI didn't seem to be a problem. I tried numerous noise cancels, checked connections, removed battery while turned on (that's worked in the past), everything short of a factory reset. I think I need to remove the coil cover from the 10x12 SEF and give it a good cleaning. I'm sure that's long overdue for this coil as dirt between the coil and cover has given me grief in the past with other coils. Anyhow, I'm happy with my keepers but I'm positive that I walked on by a few more keepers due to instability and falsing. Thanks, JJ

Nice hunting.. I had almost the same luck..got permission from a guy who owned two houses next to each other..looked promising..first three minutes I found a wheatie and a merc ..I gave the guy the merc as thanks for letting me detect his yards thinking I would easily find a couple more...Nope.. found five or six wheats..I think he got the better end of the deal today..lol..

Thanks guys. I'll clean it up and maybe a factory reset then give it another go. Todd, you made a wise choice I think. Good Karma will reward you ten fold. JJ

Thanks and no prob Bryce, your work speaks for itself. I'm brand loyal as long as I have good reason to be and would love nothing more than to see the fellas with the new machine continue to plaster pics of great finds in the Minelab forum regardless of which model makes the finds. At the same time I'll try to do my part in showing the effectiveness of later models. I'm just glad that new gizmo is on our team. JJ
