    laminated coin

    This is a first for me 1942 dime.Lady liberty has a scar across her cheek-bone, I will bring it to the next meeting Wednesday.Found in Pekin park last week.The soil was much warmer and the coin was about 5" down.Also found a 1957 rosie in my change from the grocery store.

    big silver ring

    Hi everyone, Found one large ring. Inside reads "makers mark then x100925" first pic unclean then cleaned.I almost forgot the knurled inside part of the ring turns.Dennis

    hillside finds

    Today went back to hillside hunting, Trying to find one of those mercury dimes.Wound-up finding .925 size #7 ladies ring. It is a beaut.     vehicle registration 1917

    Did some digging and found "5.5" down a Illinois vehicle tag. In 1917 Illinos used tags and plates for registration of motor vehicles and motor bicycles. The tag is heavy guage aluminum 2" disk that was held in place by 2 rivets. Cleaned up well sorry no pics. Will bring to next meeting.

    Well it's been a while since my last post. Sorry still no pictures,but will bring coin to meeting. OOOOOO 1901 barber dime. My first barber with an Orleans mint mark. Found this coin in my hometown.
