    Reproduction CSA belt plate?

Does anyone know what metals the 1960s centennial belt plates were made of? I think I may have dug one (rectangular CSA). It's not pewter or brass -- looks like lightweight pot metal. Also some tiny letters on the back that I can't read. Makes me think of a toy makers reproduction...

    Racer 2 question

The Red Racer was reported to be a bit "nose-heavy", largely owing to the lower shaft connection being near the back of the coil. I gather that the placement of the connection on the new Racer 2 is nearer the center of the coil. I'm interested in the Racer 2, but my old forearm is very...

    Question about the 9 x 8 coil

I recently bought a new 9" x 8" standard concentric coil for my Bandido uMax. In testing it, I find that I get no response when I swing the front toe of the coil over a target. In other words, if I swing the back or middle area of the coil over a target, it sings out loud and clear, but is...

    Problem with X-Terra 70

Have any of you ever experienced this problem with your detector? Several times my X-T 70 has suddenly started making a loud, steady beep, with the ID meter fluctuating between high numbers (38 to 42). Nothing I do will stop it; if I turn the machine off, then back on, the beeping continues as...

    Tiger Shark ground balancing

I am the proud owner of a new Tiger Shark. One question: Because I will be using it only for water hunting (freshwater lakes), and using it only in Motion Disc., is it necessary to ground balance the detector before each use? Thanks for your help.
