    I was only 2 to 3 inches down in rock hard ground standing straight up. Was sounding and reading like a dime. The 6 is clear when zoomed and can barely make out a 2 no sign of the 1 or 9.

    Does this occur with the factory headphones as well? If so there is a menu setting for just headphones or combination of both headphone and speaker. Good luck.
