    PI Machine

I'm looking to possibly get a PI machine for salt water and also freshwater hunting. I have a Headhunter Diver, but it still chatters near the salt water. I'm looking at the Headhunter Pulse or the Tesoro Sand Shark. Does anyone have any comments on which may work out better? Thanks! SS

    Widescan and Salt Beach

Would a widescan coil on a Tejon work good on a wet salt beach or wading in salt water? I've heard the stock coil (concentric) chatters quite a bit, but wondered if the widescan would be any better. Thanks! SS

    FL Beach/Water Hunting

I will be heading to the Atlantic coast in FL over spring break and would like to know if you can or cannot metal detect in the water. I have heard that you cannot do this, or it is against the law. Can you detect while wading (waist deep) in the water? SS

    Similar Post...Tejon and Beach Hunting

I use my Tejon mainly for coin hunting in parks and woods with some beach hunting (freshwater). However, I have an upcoming trip to the east coast and would like to know how the Tejon handles on the beaches and salt water. I would be using the stock coil. Would a widescan coil help with depth...

    North Carolina

I'm planning on visiting the central coast of North Carolina over the holiday weekend. Any suggestions on some good beaches/places to hit? We're looking more towards the Beaufort area, but I'm really not that familiar with NC. Also, if there's any suggestions on cheap places to stay, that...

    Cleaning Old Coins

I have read about cleaning old coins on various other posts (olive oil, peroxide, etc.). Is there any effective way to clean off old coins without damaging them? Specifically the green encrustation on old pennies and nickels. Should I even bother to try to clean them up if there very...

    5.75 Inch Tejon Coil

Just recently picked up this small coil for my Tejon. I am VERY impressed with this thing! I literally followed my brother-in-law while hitting some local road work and I was still picking up coins out of all the trash (including an 1883 indian head cent). Also used this in some woods nearby...

    Tejon Tuning

I've been reading that Cibolas and Vaqueros can be "super tuned." Can this be done on a Tejon? How is it done (same a C/V)? Do you really get extra depth from the machine? Any other advantages? Thanks!
