Time to get the lead out

Look like more modern black powder bullets similar to these in the pics, notice the flat noses. Someone could of been practicing 20-30 years ago, as their light patina shows.

Time to get the lead out

Lots of lead but unfortunately not Civil War.

    MS2 era pad replacements

A set of new MS-2's cost $25, just get new and keep the old for backup, though not likely needed because the quality and durability of these headphones that the ear muffs wear out before the wiring/plug, love mine.

Googled this up...scroll down to shifty-eyed-potatoe's post.

1862 Civil War Department special agent badge

Like Chuck said, it has a more modern construction than CW, War Dept was around until the mid 1900's. Silver is nice.

1862 Civil War Department special agent badge

Fantasy piece, definitely not of CW period construction.

Question about this button I found.

Who needs coins with those kind of buttons coming out the ground. I'll trade you a great coin site for a run at that button site. (y)

Question about this button I found.

Nice !! Definitely CW, we call'm "Tin back". Block, Script, and state buttons, man hope you still check back in on that site, bound to be a Confederate buckle of some type in the area.

So, $599 for the top-o-the-line vortex. to me that sounds pretty reasonable....

Vortex release got thinking time to upgrade my AT Gold used for rivers and creeks and I found Minelabs X-Terra Pro for $257 which leaves room in the budget for the small coil and water headphones.

Small pewter item possibly a button

Numbered tack, found one years ago and someone mentioned off a telephone pole. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1522682966/numbered-thumb-tacks-large-head-3d?gpla=1&gao=1&

using pinpointer button on the orx

You mean WS and not WS ll (Deus ll) right ? Once you've paired the WS headphones with the ORX, you simply press + - buttons to turn them on, and when your turn off the remote they auto turn off. Are you pairing every time ? I've gotten pretty good at pinpointing in search mode not liking...

Deus 2 Screen frozen during update

Old post but future fyi...Just updated my buddies and this happened, I believe possibly it was caused by leaving the remote on during the W 6 update. So I plugged the frozen remote back in and it allowed me to re-update, then functioned normally.

    5 kHz ABYSS

As an experienced All Metal and Mixed Mode or "semi-all-metal" mode relic hunter of many years, I would have expected this detector to be designed with a concentric coil for max depth considering the low 5khz to search for large deep targets. Concentric in the future ? Looks as a detector of my...

    ***Deus 2.0 update***

Nice finds !! The carved lead piece looks nothing like a nipple protector, but could have served as a bottle stopper or barrel tompion to keep the moisture out.

    Help with a button?

2a is a big 3 piece Staff officers bubble button from the Civil War, your button is low convex (flat) 2 piece with a small Eagle. I believe your suspicion of it being civilian may be correct, possibly a modern blazer button.

    minelabs bad decision on coils

Once again ... White's had this figured out long ago, 9.5 concentric was their stock for many running years.

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

I paid for the extra depth and that's exactly what I got. So pleased with the coil I paid out even more for Steve g's counterbalance shafts. When a coil can punch down below the plow zone it's a winner in my book.

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

The 9"HF and 13"x is a combo that works well for me.
