    V3 Label

Just curious, how many of the new detectors produced were labeled "Vision" before the name was changed to "V3"?

    beach hunted today

Ran into something similar. I was helping a couple who had lost a wedding ring in their backyard. They had a buried cable tv cable that drove my V3 nuts. I noticed that when I went into pinpoint mode I got a wild warbling sound. As long as I stayed 10 feet or so away I could operate. And yes, I...

    V3 - Stock 10" vs Super 12 Coil

I have been using the "detector formally known as vision" for the last 3 weeks. Most of my detecting has been with the stock 10.5" D2 coil. My results have been surprising. Pre V3, silver was something that I found every once in while. Now it is coming out of the ground nearly every outing. I am...

How does the Vision handle near power lines? Anyone tried it yet?

Did some testing under some residential power lines, no problems.

    Seeing in 3D

Dave, Not all Polaroid glasses cause problems. I have a pair made by Smith that work fine. The better quality glasses have the lenses rotated to an angle that works.

    Plug in Headphone Volume

Thanks Steve, Actually I think the Sound Effects sliders only control the start up, shutdown, and key click beeps. I needed to find these anyway so that when I turn my machine on and off, or change settings I don't go deaf. It doesn't appear to change the target volume. Interesting the Sound...

    Plug in Headphone Volume

I do the same. My favorite are a pair of under the chin Sony dictation headphones that don't have inline volume control. Kind hard to wear my broad rimmed hat with regular headphones. Kind of a skin cancer avoidance thing. And yes, they are much cooler - no sweaty ears! Even though Whites...

    Plug in Headphone Volume

Is there some way to lower the plug in headphone volume? I am not using the wireless headphones, and my wired headphones do not have a volume control. I can adjust the "Plug-in Headphone" "Target Volume" control over a range of 48-69, 48 is quieter the 69, but still to loud. Any way to throttle...

    1st 24 Hours with a Vision:clap:

Funny thing, 72 hours ago I didn't know anything about the new Whites detector called the "Vision". Just happened to visit my local Whites dealer (John) to talk about the TDI. He had just got a Vision in the day before and asked me if I wanted to see it. The more I played with it the more I was...

Moore Creek Week 3 report and photos

Just got back from Moore Creek. Actually it should be called "More Rain Creek." There were 9 in our group and Steve Herschbach and John Pulling were our gracious hosts. Lots of gold was found and a good time was had by all. The Week 3 group didn't have to endure the bugs that Weeks 1 & 2 did...
