    Best coil for field hunting

    I have some permissions on the farm fields later this year when the crops are out of the ground. I am running the AT Max with the standard coil. I was wanting to see other opinions on what is a good field hunting coil. Any thoughts???

    First Silver Ever!!

    We (my son and myself) just started metal detecting little over a month ago. Pulled our first silver out. 1906 Barber Dime!! Decent shape. We had some time between ballgames so we went out to our field. Good times

    AT Max ground question

    Another quick question from a newbie. I search in soil that is a heavy clay type of dirt. When I ground balance the unit I am normally between 88-90. How much does the clay soil affect the depth of the unit? Will clay soil cut down on how deep the unit reads? Would adding a couple more steps...
