    Rob, I thought I understood pinpointing and how it worked, but I'm thinking now I have no clue. If an object, such as a coin is detected, does the pinpoint bars go out a shorter distance than say an aluminum can? So if that is true, the bigger the object, the longer the bars stretch out...

    One time I also dug up a nail, but under it was a quarter, so that was good, but yes, it will detect nails in the good range. I have also had trouble with flat aluminum cans showing up as good quarters, hate that part, but White's says there are enough of the right metals in the cans to cause...
