    R2 lower rod won't stay tight

    My R1 never had this minor issue but my R2 lower rod camlock keeps working its way loose. Anybody got a quick fix? Have a big hunt next weekend so I might just wrap some tape around it to the time being.

    Love the detectors but coils not so much

    My 8 y.o. daughter has confiscated my red racer since I got the R2. The detectors are awesome but just saw a broken coil ear on my 5x10 that might have 5 hours on it. I had to buy it while I was waiting on the 11" to be replace that did the same thing. Hopefully the R2 coils will hold up...

    Disassembly ??

    Anyone taken the Racer control head apart? Tried as long as I could to keep the factory plastic screen cover and another I put on it but has come off. Only now I see a couple pieces of plastic shavings (??) floating around between the lcd and screen plastic. No big deal but going to drive me...

    C Maybe I chose the wrong word. The tone is awful. Nothing like any other I've used. Almost sounds like static.?? Other than that I really like it.

    Got mine yesterday. Only had a chance to hit my test garden but I really like it. Screen is very nice looking is light as a feather. The threshold sound I don't really care for. Really choppy sounding. Hope to get some time on it this weekend.
