1st hunt in probably 6-8 months, lots of targets and an old one!

Man it's been a long time...... Some of you know I have a lot of ocean hobbies in the summer, surfing, paddleboarding etc...so my detecting drops off during the nice ward months. However I do like the winter storms and the pirate booty that cold waves uncover sometimes. Hit the "Northern Zone"...

    Skunked by Wilma!

Well, I thought I would get an early start to the open treasure chest that I just knew would be out there waiting for me...... Not even!! Just a couple pieces of clad for me. Maybe you guys/gals who get out there later will be more lucky. The surf was still big and I couldn't get too far down...

Saturday afternoon in the surf lane....WET!!

Boy did it rain yesterday afternoon!! I hit the beach about 2pm and it was raining a little, by about 3:00pm it was torrential downpour, but it was warm so that made it fun. Lots of cuts around, some about 3'-4' high, found a decent amount of clad, probably more than I have in a long while...

Hit the northern resort area this am.....some sand is moving

Don't take my word 100%, but it seemed to me a little sand has moved out since I was there two days ago. I got there about 6am and think it was about mid-tide. Got a little clad, which is better than none that I got two days ago. Max is correct on the other post; we should be getting a good...

Morning gold and lots of WIND!!!

Wow, hit the beach at 6am, man, the wind must be blowing 30mph+ down there, in Max's words; "Rough as bricks" !!! Clad was spread out; found a few little hot spots, but not as much as I hoped for with this heavy ocean surge. Hunted the North end of the resort area, found this nice 14K men's...

Hey Virginia Beach Surf Pirates, help is on the way for our sanded in conditions....

Hopefully this will get some sand out of here. Most times it does, a few times I've seen it make it worse. Lets hope it will loosen the gold vault a little!!! Good luck to all!! -Rich TODAY N WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 3 TO 4 FT. TONIGHT N WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 3 TO 4 FT. SUN N WINDS 10...

Finally, some gold and ice !!!

Was starting to think I had lost the magic touch.....haven't had much in the way of gold or silver finds. Been getting skunked since I found the nice gold man's bracelet earlier in the year! Well, I hit one of my favorite spots in Sandbridge last night. Took advantage of the evening low tide...

    Silver morning....

Hit the surf line early today, about 5am-7am. Finally got some nice targets, been in the northern territory and has been a little bleak, also doesn't help that it has been high tide mornings when I go, around 5-6am. Now that the tide is getting low this week in my time frame, I worked the main...
