    Where's the goodies?

    I've been hunting the beach pretty regulary for awhile, I usually go out to about waist deep & hunt for a couple of hours, but I never seem to find anything out in the water, not even trash. I usually hunt at low tide, too. I'm hitting different areas, so that rules out being a barren beach...

    Excal working again.

    Had to replace the battery pod on the excal, now she's working great. While I was waiting on delivery, I wound up buying a used Tiger Shark off CL. For the record, there's just no comparison between a TS & an Excal. ML wins every time.

    xs keypad

    Went to turn on the explorer the other day & it didn't want to turn on, kept shutting down. Put new batteries in, factory reset, even cold booted it.     Excal battery pod question?

    I posted earlier about the battery leaking on my 1000. Just noticed that the end cap with the O ring is cracked in 2 places. Is there anywhere that I can just buy the end cap, or do I have to get a whole new pack? And if so, does the excal 11 pack fit the same?

    Excal noise

    Went to the beach today. After 1 1/2 hrs, the Excal would make a loud screeching noise about every 30 seconds. I hunted about another 1/2 hr, it kept doing it. Any ideas?

    Fun afternoon with the XS

    Took the XS to a small park I found today. No great finds, but I did recover 52 coins in 3 hrs, so i had fun. Total haul of 2.92. 4 quarters, 16 dimes & 32 pennies.
