    Newbie with a Lone Star, hit gold on day 1 !

    Yep, just got a Lone Star model as an 'early' Christmas present. Yesterday was my first time out with it and I had a blast. Found 5 pennies, two nickles, three dimes and two quarters, 10 pull tabs, foil and..... a gold ring! Not a big ring by anyone's standards, but marked 585 on the inside...
