    thanks for the info. will post pics this weekend. waiting on a 15 x 12 coil , I'll be heading back where i found the American coins when it arrives. unfortunately most Irish and British coins i find here are copper and always badly corroded. oldest find so far is a 1465 Edward iv silver penny.

    detecting in ireland with a v3 for the last year. found an 1806 silver half dollar, vdi a constant 85. also an 1825 silver quarter a few feet away, very well designed coins. Are these coins rare in the USA.

    problems near overhead cables

    got a new v3 with a d2 coil. works very well most of the time . when searching within 50 metres of electrical cables the v3 acts totally erratic. Can this problem be fixed or can i get another coil that works in this area.
