    Coil Field Patterns

    Kellyco's link http://www.kellycodetectors.com/how-metaldetectors-work.htm shows basic idea of how a searchcoil operates but does not explain the diffences between the different coils. I found it to be helpful though.

    Meteorite Hunting

    I have never hunted them personally but there are some videos on utube. When you hunt them your mainly looking for Iron and Nickle signitures and they could be at extreme depths due to impact. Searching splay fields seems to be the best option for a high concentration of possible finds. Good Luck
