Just for fun what’s your serial number ?

My first thought was my military number B22-01-23 USN 1968-1973. Where do I find the number on my Deus 1?

    Musket Ball or not?

Not all lead takes the same patina. It depends on soil conditions and type of lead. Scratch it in the dented part with a sharp object and see if it reveals shiny lead. You can also measure the diameter and weight accurately if you have the tools to do so. Do the diameter in inches and the weight...

    Civilian buckle?

This brass buckle was found in the Hagerstown, Md. area about 30 years ago. Any ideas on it's age and use would be greatly appreciated.

    My last couple hunts

Our dirt down here is already sandy, but now it is pure dust. You dig a hole and it fills itself back up. I managed to find one eagle button , but it was falling apart as I pulled it out of the hole. Not even worth taking a picture of.

    Lid?

Someone on another site said it was part of a desk set and it held an ink well. The third picture is the top/front.

    Lid?

I found this stamped brass(?) piece today on hunt cut short by the heat. It is very thin and there are no attachment points on it. The only thing that comes to my mind is a lid for a jewelry box or something like that. After looking at the pictures, I think the last one may be the front/top and...

believe i asked about this button just cant find my post any info greatly appreciated TY

If it has an iron back it is not a military button. Rust on a Navy uniform wouldn't cut it. It is most likely a civilian fashion button. Here is one very similr to it on the Waterbury button website. https://waterburybutton.com/product/anchor-on-stipple-background/

    Best Day, Worst Day!

I sent them to a guy in Florida that restores them. He is highly recommended on several artifact sites. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063689284830

    Best Day, Worst Day!

I went to the creek last Saturday with a buddy and had the best day ever for me. I found 3 complete snapped base Kirk points, a prehistoric camel tooth and a token still in the plastic sleeve. Then, that evening I had my worst day ever! I was taking the points back to my truck after showing them...

    Boston Scrap Party

Not a metal detecting find, but I thought some folks here might find this interesting. I was looking through an April, 1942 Life magazine and came across an article about a Boston "scrap" party.they were donating everything to the war effort. I hope you can read the captions under the pictures.

Any idea what this might be?

It would help if you would put something in the picture for a size reference, post both sides and tell us as much as you can, like a general location and what the property was used for.

    Could use some prayers......

Prayers sent for you and yours. I had two malignant melanomas removed from my front and back left shoulder about 8 years ago. The shots they gave me to numb the area felt like monster wasps stinging me! Been going to a dermatologist for check ups on an annual basis and so far everything is good...

    More recent stuff

How many Gardner explosive bullets do you have now? To be honest, before you posted one I didn't know they existed.

    Old buttons found yesterday

I think the other button might date from 1823 -1829, but I can't find that specific backmark in any of my references. A. Benedict formed a company in 1823.The company was reorganized in 1829 as Benedict and Coe. In 1834 it became Benedict and Burnham. In 1843 it became Benedict & Burhnam...

    Is this modern?

Modern copper jacketed bullet in my humble opinion.

Help with Id on this bullet

About 5/8" wide doesn't match any civil war caliber bullets I know of. 5/8" converts to .62 caliber. It does look like a .69 caliber. How did you measure it?
