    Thanks for the information. The question I think is will I get a decent trade-in or will I be told that I have an old outdated model and it is not worth much. If I find the right deal I will jump on it or else just wait till I find what is justified in my own mind. Thanks again for the replies...

    I have a DFX. I was wondering if it pays to trade it in for the new V3i. My detector looks and works like new. Thanks for your input greenie
