    question about whites dual field gain

    If I turn the gain on my dual field to the factory setting ( 12:00 on the dial ) the tone gets choppy i am have adjusted the threshold and pulse timing and it is still a bit choppy is this normal or should the tone be smooth Thanks for any input

    diving with excal

    i dived with my excal 1000 today for the first time and in all metal at about 6 to 7 feet of water i had to turn the sensitivity almost all the way down to get a smooth signal Is this normal any info is appreciated as this is only the third time i have used this detector thanks
