    A friend of mine is considering a 10-15 year old 1280x with 8 inch coil for the Charleston S.C. area (beach). Is this a good machine for that area? Would one spend the extra money to get a new machine? and last, is the 8 inch coil o.k. or should he go with the 10. Your comments appreciated. Jeff

    water newbe could really use help

    I am ready to purchase a water machine, thinking of the Fisher 1280x or perhaps a P.I. machine, I will be doing mostly fresh water. Also trying to decide what size coil to go with. Thoughts from you pro's would be appreciated. Jeff
