Sov XS shows the light of day to a 101 yr old Merc!

Man I agree. On the beach it is a beep and dig. No numbers nothing to adjust. Hear it dig it. Every hunter has the new super deluxe Manticore where I hunt. Had one sold one! guess I'm just an ole fart use to my old sov, but I love using it. Tremendous depth and quiet. Using a Nel 15 incher now...

    Gold...sell or hold ?????

In my experience diamonds and semi precious stones will yield very little. A large diamond may command a decent price but are difficult to sell outright. A jeweler will give you about 20% of what he will sell it for. The weight of gold or silver is where the true value is. Again my experience. Bob

I think I finally found it! Nokta Double Score

You have to own a use a sovereign to understand it's depth capabilities. I am strictly a beach hunter. it is here where the sov really shines. Maybe inland some of the latest units can sniff out deeper targets? I wouldn't know. For me the simplicity of use is what I prefer. I am damn near 70 and...

Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

Amen to that Rick! Just a lovely machine. I'm guessing up in north dakota you don't see much ocean? On the beach I can run max sensitivity and sniff out deep targets that boggle the mind. Quiet and deep what else can you ask for? We are getting a nor'easter in the next day or so. For us long...

Manticore Depth Test Result - Not too impressed

Man I gotta chime in boys. I have been a sovereign user for over 25 years. Have figure how to waterproof them fairly easily. Now I am not saying diving but in the waves and dunking the unit with no ill effects. Total investment maybe 300.00. Last summer everyone on the beach had the new magical...

Hove found thousands of pieces of jewelry since then. Just picked up an Elite for under 100 bucks. Will easily keep up or...

Just so fortunate to discover this hobby when I did. Being self employed helped also. Lots of free time. You know whats so funny about digging gold .......you never get tired of it. Almost 70 now and even though finds are minimal, I just love going out and lookin for stuff. Lots of girls in...

    The King of metal detectors

I have been a sovereign user for a good 25 years. Tried many others but have continued to go back to my trusty sovereign. Mostly a beach hunter, I have waterproofed many sovs. There was an unbelievable amount of jewelry finds a good 10 - 15 years ago. Gold and silver were an easy target to...
