    My first jewelry

Cold and very windy today, but the ground isn't frozen anymore. These were from the volley ball court (all sand) in the local park. 3 dimes, 2 quarters, 1 copper penny and 3 zinc. 2 steel staples. The clasp is magnetic and the pink ribbon reads as scrap. All found with the Lone Star: All Metal...

    An inexpensive digger

The Fiskars #7978 came with my Lone Star along with a hip pouch and a carry bag. Sells for about $15.00 This one has too much taper and you end up pushing soil instead of cutting through. Did a Google search for corrugated copper and got roofing shingles. Did a Google search for ribbed copper and...

    my first dime

It's a start! the "pinstripe" is actually on the dime. Found it at the edge of a concrete driveway about 3 inches down, using the 4" coil. Dug a 3" plug that was 2 inches deep and swept the plug, no beeps. Scooped another inch from the hole, swept that and there it was. I really like the 4" coil.

learning about repeating tones, pinpointing & depth

This is my first metal detector and my first attempt with the Lone Star. I spent about a half an hour in my side yard, learning. I am very pleased with how easily this machine pinpoints. With the 8" coil, it's down to a 4" swing and the 4" coil only needs a 2" swing. This machine has an Ultra...
