Found one of my oldest coins today

my first impression on the picture is a 1800 Canadian coin, but cant tell what it is or the year, but has the same detail as my 1875 H dime and my 1893 fish scale (5 cent). I think they used Victoria on the 1800 coins. Rick

Seen many of these a few years ago as they came with a card that would tell you the similarity of Lincoln and John Kennedy, it was quite interesting and think they cost around 50 cents. this is why Kennedy is engraved on Lincoln penny.

    Best gold beach detector?

I really dont think it would make a difference if you use 500 or 550, but if you are going by what other are saying on the numbers they get with their meters that are 550 then your will be different if you use 500 numbers. Myself I never like the 550 meters as I like a more accurate reading...

Instructions Needed for Older DetectorPro Uniprobe Headphone-Probe Combo

I have 2 of them myself and do like them as they are deeper than those other hand held probes. The battery is a 9 volt that sits in one of the earcups of the headphones, this is the side without the controls. One of mine is the older one and when I had to send it in to get the connector on the...

Looking at the quarter front side has no damage while the back side I would think would look the same way, but it is black looking and dont have the shine to it and the damage it has. 1.2V vs 1.5V batteries for a Whites MXT PRO

Maybe I am not seeing this correct, but the MXT my wife has runs on 8 -1.5 volts which is the 12 volts alkaline and is fine. Now you are showing 8 rechargeable in the pack which should be !.2 volts each with 8 of them run 9.6 volts. Yours show only 9 volts when it is turned on, but you run 10...

Tell us how long you been Metal Detecting

Started in 1973 with a Getco and soon bought a Coinmaster 3 I believe it was as it was a all metal detector so I learned to listen to everything metal. At that time I did find some nice gold rings as there was no disc and that has helped me to do very well. First place was a very old park that...

Brass Item...No Idea What It Is

I am thinking it is part of a lamp that hold the globe on a floor lamp as I see the small holes are treaded and would have small screws in them to hold the globe of the light. The bigger hole on top would be where the switch would be mounted. That is what I would say it is.
