    I believe the Bandido II operates at 12khz whereas the Eldorado operates at 10khz. I had both, but I preferred the Eldorado myself.

    I was looking through the local Craigslist and saw a Bandido Ii for sale. Listed as new in the box and never assembled.. also comes with two additional coils.. 5.75” and 8” elliptical coil in addition to the stock 8” round coil. Price is $350….

    Just wondering why

    I am not picky either…. I’ll take either one, but would have to say my best bullet find so far has been two intact Burnside rounds. At this particular site I also found some Sharps bullets along with some other Burnside round with only remnants of the brass cartridge attached to the bullet...

    I was not aware they offered that coil in a concentric configuration. I believe they also made that same coil in a widescan version. I need to look through my old catalogs.

    It will work on any of the H.O.T. detectors also.. Tejon, Vaquero, and Cibola along with the Lobo Super Trac.

    Good write up… even though not gold, it is still better than a bottle cap in my book… Not only has gold dropped off like you stated, clad has really declined even since I started detecting in 2006.

    I liked the Sovereign for beach hunting also, but only go to the beach about once a year.., mostly inland user, but was afraid of salt environment getting into the electronics over time.
