Looks like something made in the 40s to me, cool find.

4 hour hunt at a 1920's park with the Equinox 900 and 10x5 Coiltek

Jimmy, that's some fantastic finds, way to go! That 1916 dime is in great shape, probably lost before WW2 started. That wheat cent ratio to silver is about what we are finding here in WV " 10 to 1".

    yikes, not good,.

1,000$ for a new freezer and an iPad, that sounds pretty good on the price, I would have guessed 2000$. This last month my alternator when out on my truck and my window motor when out on my van. Ouch!

"That place has been hunted out." 🧐

1841! We just took a big ride in our time machine, that's 182 years ago. Abraham Lincoln was 32 years old when that coin was minted, maybe he's the one who's lost it.

    Barber quarter

Yeah, I'd much rather find it early than late, gets all the juices flowing.

    Barber quarter

Got lucky today and found this Barber Quarter. 1908 O mint mark. It was my first coin of the day so naturally I'm thinking this new place we found is going to be full of silver, it was the only silver we found all day.

Shiny like a coin, cut like a coin, but...

You can tell it's been cut for a precise purpose not by accident which makes me think it is a coin.

    A few colonial finds

That place looks fantastic! No need to hurry, just take your time and get it all, there's got to be a lot more oldies around there.

    EMI Question

I've never found a good way to hunt with EMI. Just move to another location is what I do.

First hunt in many years, local park, 90 minutes

I could make a lot more money doing a minimum wage job than metal detecting, it's not about the money for me, it's about the fun. I've heard nothing but good reports on those CZ detectors.

    Got Lucky Again

Yeah, those high tones are music to my ears, a couple nice finds.

Your exactly right, they always pay them back pay when they come back.

Richard at Backwoods is The Best !!!

I don't even consider doing business with anybody else, why someone would use another dealer baffles me.

Great hunt with the 800 today....

After getting that top layer of quarters out of there, there could be some deeper silver? Love that SLQ quarter.

Took the Equinox 900 for a walk in the park the other day...

Killer day in my book Jimmy! Two mercs in one day is outstanding. Never thought about silent EMI, that's an interesting concept.

UPDATE: Pocket watch, re: Centuries-old farm finds

In my calculations that makes that watch worth over 1,000$! Way to go!
