    Found a hammered coin on the beach.

    Gold Coins.

    I was wondering how many of you guys did manage to find a gold coin. In the 25 years that I'm using a metaldetector I managed to find 3 gold coins. The oldest one dating back to 300 BC the other 2 are Dutch coins. 1 from the 17th and 1 from the 18th century.

    Detech Penetrator S 45 cm.

    Some is offering me an old Detech Penetrator S 45 cm coil for the Souvereign GT. I was wondering if this is a good coil for the beach. Or can I better stick to the WOT coil. ??? Thanks, Andre

    Lets say I want to search the wet sand in the all metal mode. Were do I manually groundbalance the detector, on the wet sand or on the dry sand. Thanks, Andre

    Dutch beach.

    Went to the Beach yesterday to do some hunting after a couple of days of very hot weather. Found a total of 41 coins and 1 silver ring with the Minelab Souvereign GT, using the 10 x 12 SEF Coil. Total of coins was Euro 28,- that is about $ 35.-. Andre
