Tiger Shark the best fresh water detector?

I am looking at 3 other options. One is the Lobo ST in a small backpack. Can get to chest deep. I've done it before. Wish I had kept my Lobo ST. I'm really leaning toward the LST. Want to find gold chains too. Rick

Tiger Shark the best for fresh water?

Would like to find gold chains too. Looking at the Tiger Shark 8" or 10", Detector Pro Under Water 8" coil, and the AT Gold w/ standard coil. Also giving it a thought the Lobo ST in small backpack to almost chest deep. Thanks, Rick

Test coins with Tejon and 1236x2

Freshly buried dimes at 9" and 10" laid on a piece of flat Azek (PVC) to help prevent sinking. Sandy loam soil very mild. The Tejon with 9x8 concentric coil just ticked on the 10" dime. Might not have dug but will be listening for this now. Nice soft hit on the 9" dime. I took my Fisher 1236x2...

Ok, just order the 5x10 wide scan for my Tejon.

Snow has been melting the last few days. Still lots of snow and frozen ground but I'm ready :) Can't wait to try this coil out. When it gets here I'll have to hit the school yard hunting the sand and snow. Rick

Why get a vaquero when you have a tejon

I don't see a reason. The ground in northern Michigan is mild and detectors can go deep. I will be getting a 5x10 and 10 x12 this spring for the tejon. I think the 5x10 will become my main coil. Would also like to get the 8" round coil sometime. I have a: tejon, 1236x2, SurfMaster II vlf all...

The Outlaw is the best in heavy iron trash?

Would some older Tesoros work as well? I like the analog sounds on the single tone detectors. Thank you, Rick, N. MI

Can the AT Gold find tiny gold earrings?

I have an Omega that probably will in all metal but haven't been able to try. If the AT Gold can it would be great being waterproof. Thanks, Rick N. MI

has anybody taken the 10dd coil in the water?

The 10"dd coil has a long cord so I'm thinking about taking my Omega in the water this coming spring. Put the detector unit in a small backpack and wade to almost almost chest deep. Was wondering how well the 10"dd coil will hold down on the bottom. Thanks, Rick N. MI

    10"dd vs 11"dd depth

The 10"dd will work better in iron trashy sites but is there much more depth gained with the 11"dd? I'm guessing not much gained. Rick

Omega, 11dd vs Ultimate 13" if you didn't have either

If you didn't have an 11" dd would you get the Ultimate 13" instead. Will have an Omega soon with 10" concentric and 10"dd coils. Thanks, Rick, N. MI
