    Well, I took the mxs in the lake today

    I didn't like it in the lake. It was slow to sweep and heavy to swing. The 10" coil didn't float. I much preferred my modded SurfMaster II, I like the high tone beep and dig in the water. Rick

    I got my new MXSport from White's

    It's not quite right....but overall it's great. I'm keeping this one. It is a really a very impressive detector. Both the 10" and 6x10 coils are impressive in performance too. I'll be taking it out as deep as I can go in the water today. Rick

    I have to send my mxs back after it was updated

    I was out today for 2 hours in prospect mode with iron grunt. It was working fine for 2 hours then the iron grunt got a high tone mixed in with it. When it was working right I could go over my hardwood floor and get all low grunt. Now when I go over it a high tone is mixed in making it unusable...

    mxs waterproof headphone adapter

    They are good heaphones. I would like to see an adapter to use them on other detectors. I don't have one yet. I'm using reg. heaphones and taping the connection with electrical tape to go in the water. Rick

    I notice some falsing in iron with relic mode. A false hit then gone. I don't see any falsing in prospect mode. Rick

    MXS, I need to try Relic 2 tone more

    As much as I like prospecting mode, Relic 2 tone separates a little bit better. Separation is not up there with R---c. My Tejon wins in separation with both detectors. My mxs may need an update for separation along with the pinpoint and sat. Rick

    You've had some experience now with the MXSport. The setting you like on one page would be nice. I would be happy with just the settings for Relic Mode, all metal and prospecting modes. Rick

    Tejon and iron

    My Tejon hits pretty good on iron. There are some good iron artifacts but you don't want to be digging iron all the time. If you sweep over a coin with the tip of the coil it sounds good. If you do that over iron it breaks up. Coins do have a sweet sound but sometimes iron sounds to good to...
