has anyone used the cheaper pinpointers like amazon sales?

I still use a Deteknix PI pin pointer that came with a bungy cord. Only had one issue with the battery terminal getting bent to where it didn’t make good contact. Fixed it myself and still going strong after almost 10 years.

Upgrading from Simlex to Gold Kruzer

Fly over here to Middleton ID by Boise and pick me up. We can our Gold Kruzers and head to Oregon or Nevada if it’s too wet in CA. Like Jeff Williams says “so come on let’s go”!

    Dimes

It may be that the size of the dime makes it fall through and out of beach goers belongings easier than say quarters.

    Gold Kruzer

I have not found one. I really like my Gold Kruzer. Its nice to have a threshold and ability to make adjustments unlike the GM1000 I had. Water proof and wireless headphones makes it a real winner.

    The Equinox sucks

I would suggest trying different coils and see if the same result happens. No 2 stock coils coming out of the factor are exactly the same. Could be that he has a bad coil. Did not see what coil he was running but try switching it up and see what happens.

    Short and Sweet

I’ve been trying to get some time in on my Gold Kruzer so it’s been riding with me everywhere I go. Stopped by a local park with a sand lot today since I had a half an hour to spare. Running the Kruzer in general mode, 70 on the sensitivity and the 10”x5.5” coil this little bit of 14k weighing...

Minelab X-Terra 705 Gold Pack vs. Garrett GTI 2500 TreasureHound w/EagleEye Depth Multiplier Package

I agree with Bigtim, stick with the x-terra and the hi frequency coil. Only thing better is a higher frequency detector, or a pi if the ground is really rough.

    My first good beach find!

Beaches are stuff because of the salt. Multifrequency detectors like the Nox works on the beach. The manual is correct though lower sensitivity works better than over driving the detector. I used the have an MX Sport and would have to go as low as 3-4 in the surf, even in beach mode. One way to...
