Taking Friend Metal Detecting for Her First Time, I was Rewarded.

Reminds me years ago of a gal on Folly Beach in Charleston SC. She a had nice brand new Whits 3vi detector with headphones. She was wobbling along swinging it 4 inches off the sand like a clock pendulum humming to herself. I started to give her some pointers or my card and let her know I’d be...

    My first hunt of 2024

That turned out to be a good MXT hunt after all. Great little coil too.

    Anyone using a 18" X 4" Arrow on the V3i

Never ran one on the V3i but did try a big foot coil on the MXT and MX5 both running 13.8 kHz. As i recall the depth dropped after about 5-6 inches but it covered a lot ground. Seems like pin point was only half the coil.

    Eagle pin recovery

I’m thinking early to mid 1900s. Used to live in Summerville and I’ve found similar looking finds. Check with an old down town jewelry store In Charleston.

(Want to sell) Whites Dfx 4 Sale 2/ Coils

Wise decision, it’s no super deep machine but the things you can do with all the different settings can still keep up with the best of them out there.

    Old Church 1847-1853

You may be correct on the lamp part. I’ve found similar lamp parts from a home site dating back to the 1700s in Summerville SC. Determine or guess where the rear of the church would have been. Many old homes and plantations in SC had areas where trash was deposed of behind the building. If you...

First hunt in many years, local park, 90 minutes

Ya man, tweet those ears and dial that sucker in. There’s some nice finds out with your name on them. I have been doing an addition to my home so it’s been a real challenge to fire the detectors up this year.

    Favorite bud stop

Not sure where you are from but the wilderness, trails and camping was part of what motivated my wife and I to move to the Middleton Idaho just outside of Boise. Looks like you have a great spot there to revisit from time to time. Profile picture was taken in Smiley Creek ID, north of Sun Valley.

    1910 Farm House

Hey Ron, is there any signs of where clothes lines may have been or still are? I’ve found coins around those areas. Be sure and hit any old fruit tree trunks hard as well. Nice ring find there!

    Muscle cars.

My first car was the Sport Fury, copper color with the 383. Loved that car.

    GOLD RUSH

Nice find you have there. Rivers are roaring here in Idaho. Should be interesting once the levels drop.
