    Complete Sterling Pocket Watch

I stopped by one of my old school spots after work Friday evening. I did't have much time to detect after catching up with the property owner. I've dug here two other times years ago and it produced a couple of nice Barbers and a Seated dime along with an amazing WWII era eagle hat pin. I headed...

    Old School Silver Part Deux

Thanks Dave and you're right about those 65-69 quarters ring in like silver, like they are made with a different mix of metals. And you are the king of pulling deep coins and relics out of hunted out sites.

    Old School Silver Part Deux

Between the rain showers yesterday I drove down to try out an old ballfield for a couple of hours. I didn't have any luck with any old coins there and it seemed like a lot of fill dirt was added over the years. So to salvage the time I had left, I drove back to the old school I hunted last...

Thanks. Everyting was at average depth for my area. 3"-6". Any decent machine would have found these coins.

Thanks Dave. 1941 on the big penny. I imagine it was a WWII souvenir.

Thanks. I found 3 Jefferson nickels all from the 40's but none were war era. I didn't include them in the photo.

    Old School Silver

Thanks Ron. The tax records show that the property was purchased in 1915. I am not sure when the school was built. If the school was built soon after it would have been as Mercs, SLQ's & Walkers were being minted. I'm sure Barbers stayed in circulation for many years after they stopped minting...
