    Metal Detecting Is a Drug..!

Go hunt and mark targets ( if the spot allows) then just freakin dream about thaw and what they may be. Dude, I got it so bad, I have a “chiropractor appt” once a week to leave work a couple hours early and hit city spots. Usually amount to one actual visit to the chiro every couple weeks. Of...

    Weekend digging before the snow...

Nice little batch harvested. I think I know where I’ll be heading for my next hunt.... to scratch the itch for lead. Been a couple weeks, I’ve been hung up on this real early site peeking up through in a park. Just enough real old stuff to keep me stoked for it you know? You tore it up on the...

    First Rosie of the year

The simplex reminds me of the Tesoro compadre. There’s minimal button pushing(knob turning) and it just packs surprising performance. A hundred hours on mine right now and I have full confidence in it. I’m actually enjoying certain sites more with the simplex than some of my other machines. It...

    G2+/F-19

How are you liking this machine? Definitely keep the 11x7 around for some use. It’s a goody. It will get mid/low conductors at 9-10” with smooth quiet audio. I love weak and repeatable targets on these machines. Gets the blood pumpin.

Still a bit confused. Which after market coils are compatible with the F19?

A superfly listed for the Greek series Teknetics or for the fisher F5 (with screw on connector), gold bug, g2, f19, f11,22,44 ( with screw on connection) all will work.

Any new updates on those NEL coils?

Monte, do you feel that the kruzer/Anfibio are equal ability in these scenarios as the Fors relic/Core? Or are those the models your referring to? Impact? I know the relic is your favorite with the OOR-DD.

Any new updates on those NEL coils?

I’m using the 5” right now on the g2. It’s excellent. It seems nearly identical to the snake in overall performance. I’m able to follow the sp24 and continue digging more targets next to other plug holes from previous visits. I’m digging relics amongst the kr24 plugs from the anfibio as well...

Any new updates on those NEL coils?

I have no plans on purchasing any other coil for the simplex except the nel snake 6.5x3.5. I’m not convinced that the Superfly will outperform the stock coil enough to justify purchase.

A big silver under the Spanish moss at sunrise. Then another!

Had a killer hunt this morning with the g2 and sharpshooter coil. Hit an old park that’s just been giving up keepers each visit. Today was another good hunt.

G2 slams on big silver. Twice. And gets relics out.

A wet a soppy hunt but I had that feeling at 430 AM to go get it done. And that I did! I’ve been blessed in detecting the last couple weeks after months of fighting through rough sites I’ve gotten some real good finds lately.

‘Bout like ‘at- Patriot pays for itself and most of the Simplex too!!!

Well I did make the statement that the Patriot paid for itself and that’s probably an exaggeration. I would struggle to get 260$ for the chain! I based that on what they are selling for as listed right now. Obviously that’s new condition and not broken and dug up. So yes, for the silver content...

    Simplex delivers....again....so great

Going back in the AM. Taking the g2 and simplex. I will do some filming this time. I haven’t done much lately.

    Which coil do you prefer?

The 5” is incredible when your able to settle into a hunt and work a dense area. Otherwise a sharpshooter size will suffice.

Any new updates on those NEL coils?

2 oz less is a huge difference. Huge. I find that 11” coil to be a total joy to use on the simplex compared to the kruzer. That 11” coil is pretty amazing in what it can do. In park 2 it’s a freaking weapon, it will do good on shallow separation and it still gets pretty deep on coin size stuff...

The T2 in an iron infested spot

Ahhh yes. That’s my kind of hunting right there. If you have a t2se/ Ltd try using FA with 99 sens. and disc 0 in the iron. It will give you a headache after a while but it will lock on to tiny nonferrous bits amongst iron using the 11x7. Best performance with these settings and the stock coil...

‘Bout like ‘at- Patriot pays for itself and most of the Simplex too!!!

The Patriot is a machine with a learning curve. I was on the way back to the truck with the Patriot to exchange it for the Simplex as I was just losing patience trying to get it running smooth and still be confident in it. I basically tripped over a screaming 89 signal that was big and shallow...

    Found my Great Grandfather’s headstone

What a great thing. Thanks for sharing.

    Got an early Artillery cuff

The simplex had a rockin day today. A few good old flat buttons. Part of a pewter buckle frame, a .54 round ball, an ancient tiny folding knife, part of a pewter key, a heavy brass fork, other period relics. Then this crispy critter came out...

    Simplex delivers....again....so great

This dang machine is blowing my mind. It’s just somehow able to have such high performance with no fiddling. Using the sp24 in a park around moderate iron, got a solid signal, I didn’t check the ID but it was a warble tone in park 2 so 50 ish I dunno. About 4” deep. My first 1812 Artillery cuff...

Simplex gets a massive piece of silver.

If you notice, in the lower pic, you can see where a handle was fastened right above the hallmark.
