Adding a Simplex to my detecting tools

Click the little half moon crescent at the top of the page 👍 I took my 2.78 through the test garden again. I was getting all the targets in park1 stock coil. Good reports on 8” silver dime, 10” silver quarter, and 12” mini ball. No problem on 9” eagle vest size button and 9” wheat penny. Park2...

Got told to leave a spot today!!

Obviously, you’ve lived there long enough to have decided it was a spot to hunt. I’m with ya on that. I come from small town and I’d hit that post office yard in a second. It’s federal property but there’s nothing that says you can’t detect. Do people walk their dogs around there? Do people cut...

    Which coil do you prefer?

Sharpshooter lacks an inch or so on the stock coil. Maybe a little more. It’s the best swinging and performing coil though. It holds up to the hype pretty well. And on larger relics it’s plenty deep. I recovered a zinc fuse piece and a shell fragment. Each were nearly a foot deep. The zinc piece...

    Update

Not sure how new this is, but it was posted within last couple days on this guys channel.

    Simplex or Apex?

The simplex outperforms your m6 and F5.

Teknetics T2 LTD with 5 coils

Showing all the marks and scuffs of a true relic hunter, this machine is a proven powerhouse. This detector may look well used, that’s because it is well used. It’s such a seasoned veteran, it hasn’t shaved in a week and you can start to smell its essence. In all seriousness, I have thousands...

Teknetics Patriot (F70)- used in the field twice

I purchased this detector recently for testing and am now through with it. It’s been in the test garden and has hunted a grass churchyard twice. It has zero scuffs, scratches, knicks or dings. It is in “like new” condition. 300$ OBO, shipped UPS. PayPal friends transactions are best.

Guy with First Texas says new machines coming possibly later this year.

This is true.... I’m not much of a water hunter.... yet. I should be, there’s more water than land here!!!

Guy with First Texas says new machines coming possibly later this year.

I’m pretty clueless about the inner workings of detector development, but I would have to say the impulse was probably a little different being that it is a joint effort with the original designer and so he is involved with it which takes more time. I think of the impulse as one of those exotic...

Guy with First Texas says new machines coming possibly later this year.

I agree with this is so many ways. It REALLY needs to be cutting edge. It’s been so long since the t2/f75, I hope this new platform is using totally new tech and not something they’ve been working on for 6 years. It has to be 2021 level electronics to surpass what’s out there, most of which came...

Guy with First Texas says new machines coming possibly later this year.

There's one section of that video that has all the info I wanted. -impulse AQ this summer, followed by a gold/relic version for land -several weeks into field testing a single freq. wireless machine that's faster and deeper than f75. No name yet-targeted at simplex is my guess -all 16 engineers...

I’m going to have to watch and see if he mentions anything other than the impulse. Like a dang t3 or f-teen thousand 🤣

    Nope. That’s awesome!!

    NEL tornado coil-F75LTD

It seems common on the high gain machines to not want to ground grab with larger aftermarket coils. The Superfly is the first one I’ve used where the ground grab has worked consistently on the T2. Only comparing to the Detech ultimate. A few things I’ve tried that sometimes help- GG with the...

Is the simplex spanking these other machines in these tests?

Oh I know i would. Problem is I wouldn’t live to use it. She’d kill me. I’ve tried to tell her 100 times that I could have just got one 5 or 6 machines ago but I have to cycle them out as to not spend too much lol. But yes the DEUS will happen. I plan on hunting here for a while. Can’t get all...

Is the simplex spanking these other machines in these tests?

Anyone whose read my posts knows how I feel about the g2 in iron. I love It. But it’s no longer my primary iron worker. The simplex is. Until I can get my hands on another machine to test. Some sites around me will have epic things to give from the iron. It takes patience to hunt it, avg hunters...

    Bullets coming up this morning

Things were shallow enough, I may be able to run the T2 with a smaller coil in there and do pretty good. I could mill around in the brush with the 5” coil in BP.

    G2 plucking civil war bullets

It’s not an overly deep machine to begin with. Bullets are about its favorite target range. Really likes brass too. But yes, the audio, by depth, is its own form of disc. Today it showed that shallow targets are still out there in my spots, however.

    Nox 800 on silver

I found my smallest pieces of silver with the Nox. It also hit deep silvers well in my garden.

Stuck inside. Nail tests, T2, G2 and Simplex

Wish I still had my Nox and kruzer for this test. I’m silly for not doing it sooner. Oh well. Needless to say the g2 just got replaced by the simplex for my iron work. Dang. Who’d of thunk it.... but you see how the simplex just recovers sooooo much faster, even in park 1 it sees the targets...
