    Got a nice one today

    The weather here was GREAT, so I got out a lttle before I had to hang Christmas lights. Finds were few, but I manage to get a nice 1897 Barber Quarter, flat button, part of a change purse iron buckle, and some melted lead. JOE in MD

    Sundays finds...

    Well water season ended, so I dusted off the old MXT and fired it up the last 2 Sundays. 2 weeks ago I got 3 flat buttons and a thimble. This past Sunday I got a nice 1883 Indian Head and a Conn. Copper (1786-87). The place I hunt has been pounded for years, but still gives up a good target here...

    I got 1 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Junks rings, 1 Silver earring with CZ stone, Silver cross, pink lips!!, plenty of junk jewelry, and lots of coins!!

    Things started out real slow, but then the finds started coming out. I got a 925 CZ ring, Timex watch, 14 KT earring, a large charm( looks like a panther/tested 10KT), and a Honker of a chain(10KT).

    Here's a find you DON'T find every day....

    Walking to the water when the park open and we saw something sticking out of the water??? I went out to it and found it was a Kayak!!! I talk to the park Police and they said NO NUMBERS? if you want it it's yours!! You know I put this in the back of my truck. LOL Also got a GRILL , BIG fake...

    Finds were scarce, but I did manage to get a big one. 14KT, but the stone tested FAKE. OH well still a lot of gold. A Friend scaled it at 10.1 grams.

    Did a little digging today...

    My MXT with the 12X15 SEF coil was a button magnet today!! Pulled out 8 buttons, 1 Conn. copper (toasted), 1888 IH, and a couple whatzit's. This spot has been pounded for a longggggg time, but I went slow and listen in between the iron signals ( even with this big coil you can separate GREAT!!)...
