    Battery Lifefor HF coils

I suspect there could be one of 2 reasons or both. Back of rod using battery in stem setup has a weak spot due to material missing allowing for battery cable routing. Xp misses out on servicing the Hf coils. Making $$$. First pic below is lower LF coil and rod. Second pic is elliptical Hf and rod.

How good is the XP Deus on coin shooting?

Folks considering Deus or new to Deus here’s some info I put together. Quite a lot actually. https://www.detectorprospector.com/forums/topic/5039-thread-for-new-detectorist-using-deus-and-new-deus-users/

How good is the XP Deus on coin shooting?

I have never got close to 10” for accurate ID on any sized coin using Deus using both 9” and 11” coils. 10” ID is Minelab fbs/fbs2 territory, Deus can’t do. User will likely see higher 90s for ID or no ID at all. And on a 10” dime, no way in the world with Deus. I have zero experience with...

How good is the XP Deus on coin shooting?

Small video showing airtest distance ID capability of Deus detector. As soil mineralization rises Deus distance for correct ID lessens for buried targets.

    Explorer 2 Ring Programming.

Good luck. Wanta try this you may find interesting. Put a nail down beside your gold rings and sweep and note ID. Note how ID can be different on sweeps vs a solo gold ring.

discrimination pattern to help block pull tabs

Frogmanungar, have you tried using the exchange program to set your detector up ? Not hard to do. Here’s a video explaining. There are other videos out there too showing exchange 2 for CTX.

    deus fault

Me too. If a person has multiple coils with them using Deus. When you turn your Deus on, sweep something and see if you get a response. If not you have other coil loaded.

    Overload

Try disconnecting and reconnecting coil. Go to 3 tone and dial gain mid way. If still overloading likely bad coil.

    CTX 3030

Seems most like that are priced between $1300-$1600. Should be worth more than new Etrac imo.

How good is the XP Deus on coin shooting?

The Deus will find coins. The problem with Deus is user will dig more junk. Granted with more and more experience one can lessen the junk they dig but will still dig more vs say Minelab CTX, Etrac, Equinox, Explorer units. The real key to using Deus in a modern trash site looking for coins is...

What are your best methodes to avoid deeper aluminium cans with the Equinox?

Barring item not being a deeper brick of silver or a cache or perhaps a silver dollar. Does depth meter when target is swept, does pinpoint behavior align? Too strong pinpoint with fewer arrows showing on depth meter good chance of bigger target.

Folks may want to listen to pinpoint tone/behavior.

info.on what i found out about my pinpointer

Correct. TRX pointer volume too low. I have and use for backup only to Garrett propointer. I don’t like removing headphones to hear a pinpointer sing out. Takes time and is cumbersome. Pointer wasn’t tested in real world detecting with detector application imo.
