    Compadre, recommended for a newbie?

Hi fellow Tesoro users I have mentored several of my co-worker friends on choices and techniques with metal detectors. One friend bought a Bandido (original) on my recommendation, and I have been able to 'coach' him since we hunt together. I have been able to teach him to tune his Bandido, and...

    Eary Feminist, Betty Boop

Hi fellow White's users I went to an old country school with my detecting buddy that was built in 1902. We were cruising for old coins, but I ended with the chick. Her name is Betty Boop, and she was a 1930 celluloid movie cartoon character. She was the first female cartoon character to hit the...

    Build IT..........And They Will Come.....................

I think Chucky and padiggin ought to build their own metal detecting forum, just like in the movie titled, "Field or Dreams" Since Chucky has been kicked off this forum at least a half dozen times, they can have their own forum to their selfs and talk about nonsensical things like solar powered...

Howdy Y'all I just bought a second hand CZ5, what a detector! First time out with it and found 1957 silver rosie, must be a good omen. Hopefully when I find some better stuff with it I can post some pictures. My first Fisher was a 1266, nice detector and wish I still had it. HH...........Hombre

    Try a real test !

That's the kind of tests we like Ray! Get er done, out in the field where it really counts. Those carnival tests with the coin under a shot glass with the nail sitting on top don't prove a thing. Put the coil to the dirt, then see what she will do................Nice finds.........Hombre

Aha! Something interesting from the White's Engineers interview....

Dan, I for one don't blame White's for being secretive on the Vision, it makes for more excitement at the unveiling of the new model. When I was a kid growing up in the 60's new car dealers would cover their showroom windows with old newspapers to build up excitment for the new cars. I really...
